SEAWA recently encountered the Great Basin calicoflower during summer fieldwork along the shores of Sauder Reservoir. After sending photos to SEAWA member Cathy Linowski for identification, she informed staff that the species is ranked as an S3 species, with request to track all populations.  The rank S3 indicates a species with less than 100 known occurrences. SEAWA completed the submission process to report this finding by filling the data submission form available on the Alberta Conservation Information Management System(ACIMS) website.
