South East Alberta Watershed Alliance (SEAWA)
SEAWA is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our nonprofit organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for watershed management and environmental stewardship to guide our organization toward achieving its mission.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Director will:
• Provide leadership in strategic planning to achieve SEAWA’s goals.
• Ensure effective governance and administration in collaboration with the SEAWA Board.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, fundraising, and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, including government, industry, and community groups.
• Manage programs and projects, ensuring they align with SEAWA’s objectives.
• Lead communications and outreach to promote SEAWA’s mission and engage the community.
The Executive Director reports directly to the SEAWA Board of Directors.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in nonprofit administration and financial management.
• A background in environmental science, resource management, or related fields is an asset.
