    The South East Alberta Watershed Alliance (SEAWA) brings together diverse partners to educate the public, to support knowledge development, and to develop and facilitate the implementation of management plans for the sustainable use of the South Saskatchewan River Sub-Basin and the Pakowki Lake watershed.

Upcoming AGM and Tour 2022

All SEAWA members, and members of the public who live, work, or enjoy recreation in the SEAWA watershed are invited to the Annual General Meeting to be held virtually on Monday, June 27, from 1 to 4:30 pm. The agenda and related documents will be sent out prior to the meeting, and are also available here on the SEAWA website. Link to join the meeting is in the agenda document.

Eleven board seats are open for election in the following categories: Agriculture - 1; Licensee, Non-irrigator - 1; Municipal Government, Rural - 2; Municipal Government, Urban - 1; Provincial Government - 1; Federal Government - 1; Member-at-Large - 2; Indigenous - 1; and Academic Institutions - 1.

To run for a seat on the board, you must be a SEAWA member and must be nominated by a member at the meeting, or by filling out the nomination form. 

We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!


There will also be a field tour of SEAWA's Connaught Pond restoration site on Wednesday, June 29th from 9 to 11 am. Come learn about riparian restoration, invasive species management, native wildflowers, and more!
